Tube8 Company Profile

MindGeek is the owner of Tube8. Formerly known as Manwin and Mansef, it was established in 2003 as the holding company for numerous “thumbnail gallery post” websites and an affiliate network by Concordia University grads Stephane Manos and Ouissam Youssef (Mansef is a combination of the two surnames). Later, among other paid sites, it introduced Brazzers and a porn production company. In 2007, Keezer founded PornHub as a subsidiary of Interhub, in which Mansef was a partner. Company managers at Mansef were connected to one another, and the company was administered as a family enterprise.

Mansef and Interhub were acquired by Fabian Thylmann in March 2010 and had their names changed to Manwin. During the same time frame, Thylmann also acquired WebCams.com in a separate transaction.
A network of web 2.0 sites known as the “Pornhub Network” is reachable via the PornMD search engine from Mindgeek. All of the websites in the Pornhub Network, including GayTube, Peeperz, PornIQ (started by Pornhub), PornMD, Pornhub RedTube Thumbzilla, Tube8, and YouPorn, are owned and run by Mindgeek.

Pornhub, RedTube, and YouPorn are the top three websites in the Pornhub Network. According to a November 2013 report, Pornhub receives over 1 billion monthly visits, and a December 2014 Adweek article claims that Pornhub receives 50 million daily visitors.  Pornhub.com is ranked 25 globally by Alexa (as of 27 July 2018). 

Based on statistics for 30 days up to mid-November 2014, TrafficEstimate.com estimates that Redtube.com produces over 90 million views per month while YouPorn.com generates about 80 million visits per month. TrafficEstimate did not have data for Pornhub.com. According to YouPorn, 400 content producers take part in their partner programme.
